Angel Viator Smith graduated from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and is a member the affiliated Centre for Performance Research. As a student in residence, Smith attended the Live Art conference at the Tate Modern and the CIVICCenter conference. She is interested in devised theatre, non-narrative performance, and events as performance; she is as well interested in notions of identity, reclaiming space and the way in which we map space.

          She has previously collaborated/created four untitled works as a result of a two week workshop with collaborative performance group Goat Island and collaborated/performed as a part of Club Raw, the culmination of a two week workshop with border artist Guillermo Gomez-Pena and Michelle Caballos of Pocha Nostra. Smith has also worked with the Ukrainian theatre company Les Kurbas, world known British directors Richard Gough, Mike Pearson, and Phillip Zarrilli, and Koodiyattom artists Sreenath Syamaladev and Arya Madhavan.
